Today Rylan experienced falling out the bedroom window. Now, I know this sounds really bad but it wasn't as far of a drop as you may be thinking. Rylan decided to try and sit in the window seal just like big sister had done. The window in about two feet from the floor and although Mikayla could reach without help Rylan needed a boost from Mikayla's bed. Since we were not in the room when it happened we relied on Mikayla to tell the story. Well, from what we gathered he used his left foot to push himself onto the window ledge and pushed himself right out the window onto the concrete out side. About two hours at the hospital revealed he broke his collar bone. Luckily that was all his injuries. His splint is kind of big and bothers him so I decided to put a bandage around it to keep it as still as possible. Poor thing!

Oh poor baby! You gotta admire childrens fearlessness. Im sending gentle healing hugs his way.
He looks so sad. Give him big hugs from Grandma. (And Mikalya also as I know from experience it is just as trumatic for her also)
Thanks for the pic, he is looking so grown up.
Mom
I'm glad it didn't turn out worse! Remember Jonathan and his arm???
Hope he is starting to feel better. How long does he have to keep it in the sling???
in reply to mom's place....
he only was in the sling for 10 long days. he was having more pain from a stiff arm than a broken bone. after that it took about a week before he stopped saying it hurt.
